Welcome to Pinetta Nursery and our homestead. Our goal is to provide fruit, nuts and support plants for our neighbors in North Florida Big Bend region to enrich their lives by growing some portion of their own food. We are propagating lots of plants in our greenhouse for sale.
We are also building a two acre food forest featuring fruit, nuts, herbs and flowering plants. This will be a demonstration area and used as “mother plants” for our propagation efforts.
The goal is to have a good blend of perennial crops that can provide a balanced diet. Protein and Fats come from nuts and avocados while carbs from sweet potatoes, peanuts and sunchokes mixed with lots of greens. We have not made the commitment to have any animals as we still like to have the flexibility to travel in our RV.

Irrigation
I have installed 9 zones of irrigation with well over 100 emitters. It is a real challenge to design the system to most efficiently but water where it is needed. This we my second “controller” setup. The first one was not as well organized much to my regret. ;-(
